SPM Attachment

The ULTRAObjective® is a genuine Scanning Probe Microscope - without any compromise. Numerous SPM mode have been implemented ranging from contact and non - contact mode to lateral force detection and dopant profiling. Even operation in liquids is possible. And its applicability is expanding continuously. Concerning sample sizes the limitation is set only by the microscope stage making the ULTRAObjective® the most flexible commercial SPM.

However, flexibility is not at the expense of accuracy. The internal fiberoptic sensor detects probe deflections of smaller than 0.01 Nanometers providing the capabilities of highest resolution SPM - not only in surface imaging but also in force imaging and other known aspects of this method.

The standard ULTRAObjective® system consists of five different components:

•  the ULTRAObjective® scan head
•  the SCANControl C electronics box
•  the computer with the extensive software    
   package SIScanPro
•  the optical microscope
•  the antivibration table
